Eddie Haislop, a vibrant and deeply loved member of the Parkersburg community, has tragically passed away at the age of 32, leaving behind a heartbroken family and countless friends who cherished his bright spirit and generous heart.
Eddie was the cherished son of Karla Moellendick Haislop and Ed Haislop, and a devoted brother to Charisse Haislop Porter, who lovingly referred to him as the “third musketeer” in their inseparable bond. His sister’s tribute summed up the pain felt by many: “Life will never be the same. I will celebrate you for the rest of my days. Rest in peace, baby brother.”
Born and raised in West Virginia, Eddie was known for his contagious laughter, his boundless kindness, and the deep loyalty he showed to those around him. To his loved ones, he was more than family—he was a protector, a best friend, and a constant source of strength and light.
Professionally, Eddie was a driven and passionate entrepreneur. He co-founded ACEmed Solutions, a medical equipment distribution company based in Morgantown, West Virginia. He had previously held roles at iPacket, Allstate, and United Bank, building a reputation for integrity and genuine care in every interaction. His ambition was always guided by a desire to help others—a trait that defined every chapter of his life.
Close friend Alexia Luciw described Eddie as “a bright light in this dark world” and remembered him as “the most selfless and giving person” she had ever met. “You were a friend to everybody,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to hug you again one day.”
Family friend Suzanne Johnson echoed the shock and grief shared across the community, saying, “Nobody ever wants to outlive their children. Eddie was such a great young man and will be missed by so many. Our families have been intertwined for so many years. This one hits hard.”
Eddie had a magnetic personality that made everyone feel seen and valued. Whether he was with family, friends, or strangers, he made it his mission to lift others up. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity—one that will live on in the stories told, the tears shed, and the lives he touched.
Funeral arrangements will be shared by the family in the coming days.
Rest in peace, Eddie. Your light will never be forgotten.
